Build SOMETHING…….
I see this all the time on Twitter.
Someone posts: "Building is cooked. Distribution is everything now."
But then I click their profile.
No link in bio to any projects.
Nothing in their timeline about what they're building.
Zero evidence they've shipped anything.
Look, I get it.
Distribution matters. Marketing matters. Strategy matters.
But you know what matters MORE?
Building something.
You can't distribute something that doesn't exist.
You can't market a product that's not live.
Nothing matters until you actually build and ship something.
I've seen too many people spend months obsessing over:
"How do I get users?"
"What's the best marketing channel?"
"Should I do SEO or paid ads?"
But they haven't built anything yet.
Here's the reality:
You gotta start by at least building SOMETHING.
Doesn't have to be perfect.
Doesn't have to solve world hunger.
It just has to exist.
Because once it exists, everything else becomes easier.
You can share it with people and get real feedback.
But if you never build anything?
You're just another person talking about business instead of doing business.
There are AI tools that make it the simplest way to build something.
10-15 days. One app. Live and shipped.
No overthinking distribution strategies.
No endless planning.
Just building, shipping, and getting something real into the world.
Once you've built something, we can talk about distribution.
Once you've shipped something, we can talk about marketing.
But first?
You gotta build SOMETHING.

Idea of the Week:
RIP piggy banks.
Those little ceramic money jars from our childhood are basically dead.
Today, kids are learning about money from apps. Parents love them. The Washington Post says these apps teach kids how to save, budget, and even invest.
Yes. Kids investing.
Here is how it works.
The apps give kids debit cards and small accounts. Teens with jobs can get their salary there.
Parents get full control. They can send allowances, pay for chores, set spending limits, block stores, and see every purchase.
Most apps have a free plan. Paid plans start around five dollars a month.
The biggest player is Greenlight. It has more than six million users.
In 2024, kids handled two billion dollars through the app.
The average allowance across age groups was $13.42.
Their monthly spend hovered at $126, with much of it going to companies like Amazon and DoorDash.
Collectively, they stashed away $259m, with most saving toward cars, college, and their futures, and invested $43m into stocks like Apple and Nvidia.
Other apps include Acorns Early, Jassby, Kachinga, FamZoo, and Modak.
So is this good or bad?
Good news: kids are learning real money skills early. The US financial literacy rate is only fifty seven percent. Globally it is thirty three.
Bad news: kids with money online means privacy risks, scams, and data tracking.
Still, parents say the apps help. One girl told her mom,
“Spending your own money feels better than when someone buys it for you.”
Funny thing is… that feeling does not last long.
But for now, kids are learning about money before they learn algebra.
That’s your alley dispatch for the week. Next one drops soon.
